Sunrises and Gratitude
Looking back through some of the videos I have shared on my YouTube channel, I was drawn to one I created three years ago: Mornings in New England
The Sun rising over the fishing boat as it heads out for the day.
As I watched it again, I felt a flood of gratitude come over me.
How blessed I am to witness such beauty—and then be able to share it with others.
More often than not, I get caught up in the excitement of waiting for the sun to break the horizon. The glorious oranges and reds begin to glow, and suddenly I'm thinking, Wait... I want to take a photo. I need to start my video.
There have been mornings when the clouds, fog, or haze have hidden the sunrise. Others when the colors lasted only a few minutes. And there have been mornings when everything came together in a way I could never have imagined.
A close-up of the sunrise as its warm light fills the clouds with brilliant reds and oranges, welcoming another day to be grateful for.
Each one has reminded me that no two sunrises are ever the same.
Perhaps that's why I keep returning.
Not simply for the photographs or the videos, but for the quiet reminder to begin each day with gratitude.
If you have a few moments, I'd love to share this short collection of New England sunrises and mornings with you. I hope it encourages you to set your alarm one morning and experience the beauty of a new day for yourself.
Nature feeds my soul. I hope these sunrises brighten your day as well.
